Symbolized by the iconic The Sorcerer’s Hat, Disney’s Hollywood Studios serves to memorialize the magic of Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s. As the fifth most visited amusement park in the United States, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has become a genuine state of mind whose very essence is in the imagination, dreams and wonder of people of all ages.
With Hollywood, show business and the entertainment industry serving as an inspiration, the park is creatively sectioned into six distinct pavilions. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has not been definitively laid out into clear subdivisions. As the streets and buildings flow into one another, the park makes visitors feel they are in an actual motion picture studio. The fun and excitement veritably pour from one section to another, without clear demarcations of where it all begins and ends.

Hollywood Studios’ Themed Areas of Attraction: Opening up a Wealth of Possible Activities.
Serving as Hollywood Studios’ main entrance is Hollywood Boulevard, comprised of streetscape facades and settings that offer various park services and Disney merchandise. There is live street entertainment throughout the day plus the Pixar Block Party Bash. Aside from The Sorcerer’s Hat at Hollywood Boulevard’s far end, The Chinese Theater awaits with the thrilling amusement ride called The Great Movie Ride, known for paying tribute to such classic film creations as The Wizard of Oz, Singing in the Rain and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Nearby is Animation Courtyard, where The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant makes its home.
The park’s oval-shaped lagoon called Echo Lake offers a plethora of attractions including The American Idol Experience, which gives the potential victor’s prize of a special front-of-queue pass in the TV series’ real tryouts.
Different Star Wars Weekend events are presented at the seasonal ABC Sound Studio. The A.T.A.S. Hall of Fame Plaza displays images of famous TV icons.
Hollywood Studios visitors can enjoy going on the 3-D simulator ride called Star Tours: The Adventures Continue or watching the live action stage show called Disneyland Park: The Jedi Academy and the live action scene re-enactment known as Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant offers dinner theater pleasures with a unique retro-style theme featuring tables dressed up like vintage cars. Clips of various sci-fi films from the 1950s are beamed round-the-clock on a huge movie screen, completing the drive-in movie experience.
Pixar Place features 3D carnival midway games. Sunset Boulevard has the classic TV series-based thrill ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the indoor roller coaster ride Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, and live stage shows in two outdoor amphitheaters.
