EPCOT

Serving as the quintessential expression of Walt Disney’s creative vision, the EPCOT theme park has become the setting for the celebration of joy, hope and friendship, which are the true elements of the human spirit. Celebrating human achievements through innovative showcases of enterprise, great imagination and futuristic concepts, the theme park was built to motivate, teach and entertain visitors from all walks of life.

EPCOT has two main themed areas. One of these is World Showcase, which serves as a permanent world’s fair composed of 11 distinct pavilions. Each of these pavilions has been designed and dedicated to a specific country. The World Showcase Lagoon, a large, manmade lake, forms the centerpiece around which the eleven pavilions radiate. Every pavilion in World Showcase features attractions, architecture, shops, restaurants, landscapes and streetscapes unique to the country they represent. To enhance the sense of authenticity, each pavilion is manned by actual citizens of the respective countries, which peppers the adventure with real culture.

The International Gateway, a secondary park entrance between the UK and France pavilions, provides a factor of accessibility from the EPCOT Area Resorts and Disney Hollywood Studios to the theme park.

Included in park admission is the World Showcase Adventure based on the Disney animated series Kim Possible. This has been updated with another Disney-animation-based adventure called Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, the new version based on Phineas and Ferb.

For even more razzle-dazzle, the EPCOT World Showcase offers the one-of-a-kind show called IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, an ingenious play of sight and sound that tells the story of the planet. The revolutionary show features lasers, fireworks, water fountains and fire timed in unison to exciting music of African tribal sound.

Catering to teens, tweens, adults and people of all ages, British Revolution at EPCOT is a 4-member band that plays psychedelic as well as punk rhythms. Originally named The English Channel, British Revolution amps up the entertainment value for visitors at EPCOT.

Presented by Chase®, the park’s International Food and Wine Festival provides a line-up of nightly performances from an exciting range of top musical entertainers in an outdoor concert series. Who would have thought that the talents of great musical entertainers like Air Supply, The Go-Go’s, Starship, Sugar Ray, The Manhattan Transfer, The Pointer Sisters and Boyz II Men, among many others, could be witnessed during EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series? This is where food, wine and musical entertainment merge to create a superb symphony of sound and taste!

Serving as the theme park’s second main theme is Future World, which functions as EPCOT’s main entrance. The iconic landmark Spaceship Earth welcomes park visitors with even more themed attractions housed in a variety of pavilions. Guests will surely rave about the pavilions that include Universe of Energy, Mission: SPACE, The Sea with Nemo and Friends, Imagination!, Innoventions East and Innoventions West.

For those who seek real Disney excitement and rollicking Disney fun, EPCOT is the theme park that brings endless hours of adventure, discovery and entertainment while stimulating pride in human achievement, international culture and technological innovation.
