Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Have the wildest adventure with all of the flora and fauna at Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens. It was first opened in its present location in July 4, 1975 with the mission to conserve the environment and to preserve the wild animals. Since then, the mission has been put into action with the added entertainment for its guests to provide them with a variety of fun activities and to ensure that they will have the wildest Florida experience.

Animal-lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will surely have a blast in this tourist destination. A variety of 400 animals, both domestic and non-domestic, can be seen. As for the outdoor adventurers, lots of fun activities such as camping adventures, aerial adventures, nature tripping, and other wild activities are in store for you!

Dare to have the Tarzan experience

Who would have thought that you will be able to explore a zoo in a bird’s eye view? Well, it is certainly possible at the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens– thanks to its recently opened ZOOm Air Adventure Park at the Zoo. This is an aerial adventure course that lets you explore the tree tops by zip lines, rope bridges, and other exciting ways while on air!

Sleep with the animals!

Overnight and scout programs are also available for your adventurous group. Experience the thrill of sleeping in a zoo with the Snooze at the Zoo program or with the Wild Night camping program. The Snooze at the Zoo is for those individuals who prefer an indoor sleepover. Your group will experience an overnight stay inside the Discovery Center, a flashlight tour of the Zoo, and a movie watching with popcorn. On the other hand, if you and your group are the more adventurous type, you can avail the Wild Night camping program and sleep beneath the stars after enjoying a campfire.

Meet and greet your favorite animals

Another set of thrilling activities that this zoo offers are the Animal Encounters program. In this program, you can get to meet and greet your favorite or most dreaded animals. The Happy Habitats program lets you learn about animals from different habitats all around the world and personally meet them. Conquer your fear of snakes and spiders by availing the Fear to Fascination program which proves that the most dreaded animals are not be despised. If you want an Animal Encounter that will excite everyone in your group regardless of the age, then the Fun Zoo Animals is perfect! This program lets you meet a variety of amazing and friendly animals. These are just some of the many Animal Encounters programs that you can enjoy! Animal Encounters can accommodate a maximum of 200 persons per group, and the tour will last for 30 minutes. Admission, which is inclusive of the Zoo admission, costs $12.50 for adults and $9.50 for children. The more children in the group, the better since admission is free for one adult per 10 children.
